Students interested in psychology are encouraged to join our student organizations. They are a great way to meet other students in psychology, and they offer service and leadership opportunities.
Psi Chi is a national honor society whose purpose is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.
The Psychology Club is open to all students with an interest in psychology. The intention for this group is to be a forum for intellectual exchange, provide opportunities for social interaction with peers, and be a source of information regarding psychology. The Psychology Club holds educational programs, social events, and service opportunities.
Positive Psychology Club
The Positive Psychology Club is also open to all students with an interest in psychology, specifically positive psychology, which focuses on the scientific study of individual and group strengths, finding meaning in life, and enhancing experiences of love, work and play. The Positive Psychology Club holds roughly 14 meetings a year, which include guest speakers, mindfulness activities and group field trips.
