Class of 2021: Emily Koch

Emily Koch

Emily is a first year student from Worthington, Ohio. She was born and raised a buckeye fan, and her favorite tradition is singing Carmen Ohio. After taking AP Psychology, Emily developed an interest in helping those who suffer from mental illness. Emily wants to attend graduate school to become either a therapist or a school counselor.

Emily is grateful for her experience as a successful Irish dancer and hopes to continue to compete, maybe even returning to the World Championships in Ireland.  Emily is already involved in Crosswalk Outreach for the Homeless, a student organization that makes packaged meals and delivers them around the Columbus area. She is also a member of the Humanities Scholars Program. Emily’s faith is very important to her, so she is also very involved in her church.

Favorite Quote: "And though she be but little, she is fierce." -William Shakespeare. Emily loves this quote because she is shorter than the average person and it empowers her to be the best version of herself.
