Presented by: Dr. Ken Fujita, Professor (Social, Decision Psychology)

Self-control has been associated with a number of positive life outcomes, including academic success, mental and physical health, and better interpersonal relationships.  In this talk, I will describe research that my lab has been conducting on self-control.  This work seeks to understand  who, when, and why some succeed -- whereas others fail -- in their self-control efforts.
